Thryve Florida Health and Wellness – Medical Policy

Thryve Florida Health and Wellness is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to patients within specified parameters. Our policy outlines the scope of conditions and services we offer, ensuring safe and effective care for our patients.

 

Patient Age Range:
Acute Visits: Patients aged 18-85 years old.
Chronic Management: Patients aged 18-65 years old.

 

Treatment Limitations:

Thryve Florida Health and Wellness cannot provide ongoing care and prescriptions for certain serious chronic conditions that necessitate in-person physical examination or specialty consultation for safe management. These conditions include but are not limited to:
Conditions requiring controlled substances.
Type I (insulin-dependent) diabetes.
Conditions requiring immunosuppressive therapy.
Patients actively receiving cancer treatment (chemotherapy or radiotherapy).
Patients with significant immunosuppression, including HIV.
Patients requiring oxygen therapy.
History of organ transplant or organ failure (e.g., heart, kidney, liver failure).
Patients currently hospitalized or in hospice care.
Conditions requiring specific injectable medications or specialty care for treatment.
Exclusion of Pregnancy-related Care: Thryve Florida Health and Wellness does not provide care to individuals who are or may be pregnant.

 

Animal-Related Injuries:

Patients seeking treatment for animal bites, scratches (including venomous spiders, scorpions, and snakes), or animal-related injuries will not be treated at our facility.

 

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs):
Chlamydia: Thryve Florida Health and Wellness both tests and treats chlamydia for adult patients.
Gonorrhea and Syphilis: Thryve Florida Health and Wellness can test but does not treat gonorrhea or syphilis for adult patients, as these treatments require injections.

 

HIV Treatment:

Thryve Florida Health and Wellness cannot provide treatment for HIV.


Referral to In-Person Care: For conditions falling outside our scope of services, patients will be referred to appropriate in-person care providers for comprehensive evaluation, management, and treatment.

Thryve Florida Health and Wellness aims to provide comprehensive and safe healthcare within our defined scope of practice. Patients seeking care for conditions beyond our limitations will be referred to suitable healthcare providers for appropriate management.
